Alright so the family has officially outgrown the current SUV and I've been looking at a 2019 Escalade Premium Luxury over at a dealer near Al Maryah Island and the thing is absolutely massive and the interior is like a leather lined living room which my wife loves but I'm a little concerned about the magnetic ride shocks because I've heard they can start leaking around this mileage and the replacement cost is enough to make you choke on your karak, the sales guy keeps saying it's a cream puff and was owned by a local who barely drove it but the rear tires are a different brand than the fronts and that always makes me wonder what kind of deferred maintenance I'm walking into, I know these things share a lot of bones with the Tahoe and the Yukon so part of me thinks any decent garage can handle it but then I remember the active noise cancellation and the fancy suspension module and I wonder if it's worth getting someone who actually knows the Cadillac specific quirks to put it up on a lift before I commit, I found a page where it says to Visit this site today for a Cadillac pre purchase inspection and it looks like they check the air conditioning blend doors and the cylinder deactivation history which are the exact things that keep me up at night with these 6.2 V8s, I guess I'm just trying to decide if I'm being overly cautious because it's an American truck or if I should treat it like any other high end European car and get the full PPI done before I sign anything.
