So I found this absolutely mint looking Lexus GS350 down in Abu Dhabi, it's a one owner car with full dealer stamps from Al Futtaim and the seller seems like a proper gentleman on the phone, but here's the thing I've never bought a car that wasn't sitting right in front of me in Dubai before and the idea of wiring money and then driving two hours to collect it only to find out the AC compressor is about to grenade itself or there's some hidden rust from the coastal humidity is making my stomach do backflips. The seller said I'm welcome to bring anyone I want to look at it which is a green flag I guess but my usual garage guy in Al Quoz just laughed when I asked if he'd drive to Abu Dhabi for a look. I've been reading some old threads on here where people swear by getting a proper Professional Pre Purchase Inspection Dubai based company that will actually send someone out to the car wherever it is and do a full report with photos and a test drive before you commit to the trip yourself, which honestly sounds like a no brainer but I've never used a mobile service like that so I'm a bit skeptical about whether the report is actually detailed enough or if it's just a glorified walk around with a clipboard. Has anyone here actually used one of those mobile inspection guys for a car in another emirate and did the report match reality when you finally saw the car in person, or am I just being a nervous wreck over nothing and should trust that a Lexus with full history will be fine regardless?
